Innovation

  • System synchronization, Pump-Autosampler Synchronization (PASS). This unique feature means that each injection occurs at exactly the same point in every pump cycle ensuring the best in retention time reproducibility.
  • Electronic Pulse Isolation and Compensation (EPIC). Using two pressure sensors and closed-loop feedback between pumps provides the ultimate in smooth, precise solvent flow.
  • Interchangeable pump heads. Depending on your application you can switch pump heads for optimal performance for flow rates from 0.001 to 10 mL/min.
  • Built-in degasser. A built-in degasser saves bench space and assures trouble-free operation and precise solvent flow.
  • Large sample capacity. 200 standard vials or 3 microtiter plates come standard, optional peltier cooling is also available.
  • Programmable wavelength switching. Optimize peak detection by changing detection parameters during a run for the compound you are interested in.
  • Solvent pre-heating and cooling. A solvent pre-heating module is employed to reduce temperature gradients inside the HPLC column.

    Amino acid analysis is an important technique involved in a wide range of bioanalytical applications including protein and peptide analysis, quality assessment of foodstuffs and clinical diagnosis of metabolic disorders.  Historically, this technique has been performed on highly specialized chromatographic systems dedicated for comprehensive  (up to 50-plus components) and quantitative amino acid analysis.

  • Tranditional HPLC method development involves highly skillful, exerienced, knowledgeable, and intuitive operators to generate efficient separation methods. This is often a time-consuming endevor that does not always produce the best possible separation results in spite of the best efforts. Automated method development (AMD) with the Hitachi LaChrom Elite (LCE) HPLC system in conjunction with ChromSword Auto (CSA) provides a unique AMD system that will separate multi-component systems effortlessly, accurately, and with significant savings in both time and costs for the methoddevelopment.

  • Routine development of multi-component 'Fast Liquid Chromatography' (Fast LC) applications are rapidly and easily accomplished by integrating (a) the new Hitachi LaChrom Elite HPLC system, (b) Automated Method Development tools (ChromSword AUTO), and (c) Hitachi Chromolith monolithic reversed-phase columns. These Fast LC applications allow for high-throughput analyses leading to a significant reduction in run times contrasted to conventional C18 particulate column run times by several-fold.
